ARIS 2024, the inaugural conference of Robotic and Innovative Surgeons of India

ARIS 2024, the inaugural conference of Robotic and Innovative Surgeons of India, served as a beacon of progress in surgical technology and expertise. From March 1st to 3rd at Hotel Lalit in New Delhi, India, the event, under the organising chairman Dr. Vivek Bindal, welcomed over 700 delegates and faculty members.

The conference provided live operative workshops, offering invaluable hands-on experiences.

Attendees were treated to enlightening talks on diverse aspects of robotic surgery, with participation from distinguished experts nationwide.
In collaboration with the Clinical Robotic Surgical Society (CRSA) and the Surgical Society of Alimentary Tract (SSAT), the event boasted an impressive lineup of international faculty, including leaders from renowned institutions such as the Cleveland Clinic, Duke University, University of Florida, Robotic Task Force head NHS.

Special sessions, including those dedicated to gynecology, thoracic, and urology, showcased the latest advancements, with esteemed faculty members sharing their insights.
Notably, a cadaveric workshop at Sharda University, Greater Noida, witnessed participation from 50 delegates and renowned national and international faculty, marking a historic moment as it brought together all surgical robotic systems under one roof for the first time.

The conference also featured the presentation of approximately 100 scientific abstracts, fostering the exchange of cutting-edge research. A quiz on robotic surgery added an interactive dimension to the event, engaging attendees in a test of their knowledge.

The inauguration ceremony was graced by Colonel HS Chahal, COO of Cluster 2 MAX Healthcare, as the chief guest, and Dr. Ranjan Sudan, Professor of Surgery at Duke University, USA, as the guest of honor. Their presence underscored the significance of ARIS 2024 in shaping the future of robotic surgery.

Furthermore, a special session of SSAT delved into emergent techniques, including AI, highlighting the evolving landscape of surgical innovation.
Additionally, the convocation ceremony of the Faris 2022 batch added a moment of celebration and recognition to the conference, honoring the achievements of budding surgeons.
