Dr. Vivek Bindal

Dr. Vivek Bindal did his MBBS & MS from prestigious Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi. Subsequently, he completed super-specialty degree, FNB in Minimal Access Surgery from National Board of Examinations. He then went to USA for an advanced one year Fellowship in Robotic GI & Bariatric Surgery. He worked at University of Illinois at Chicago and then at Duke University as a faculty member.
After returning from USA, he served at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital for 10 years and became the Vice-Chairman of Institute of Minimal Access, Bariatric & Robotic Surgery. He joined Max Healthcare in April 2021 and started the Institute of Minimal Access, Bariatric & Robotic Surgery at Max Hospital Vaishali, Patparganj & Noida.
He has published widely and has more than 50 papers in international reputed journals, and more than 30 book chapters. He is an invited speaker at many international & national conferences in the field of Robotic, Bariatric, Hernia, Abdominal Wall Reconstruction, gallbladder & advanced laparoscopic surgery. He has trained more than 250 surgeons in India and abroad. He has helped start the robotic surgery programs at various reputed hopsitals like CMC Vellore, PSG Medical College Coimbatore, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Max Dehradun, Max Mohali etc.

Dr. Bindal has been awarded the prestigious Fellowship of Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) of Glasgow by election. This is an honour conferred on surgeons who excel in their field and are renowned internationally.
